Silk Road Tour Kyrgyzstan – Osh to Bishkek

The 7-day Silk Road tour in Kyrgyzstan follows ancient caravan routes from Osh — Central Asia’s oldest city — to the modern capital Bishkek. With your local guide, you’ll ride horseback to sacred Kara-Suu Lake, stay in traditional yurt camps in Toktogul, and traverse dramatic mountain passes that traders have crossed for thousands of years.

Itinerary

Day 1: Crossing into Kyrgyzstan – Osh Discovery

Your English-speaking guide will meet you at Dostlik border upon arrival.

  • pick up from the Dostuk 

Osh City Tour – Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain (UNESCO) and Cave Museum, Osh Bazaar
Evening: Dinner at a local café.

Overnight: Guesthouse – Twin rooms

Day 2: Osh – Özgön – Arslanbob

Morning: Explore Osh – Central Square, “Big Lenin” statue, and more Soviet heritage sites.
After lunch: Transfer to Arslanbob with a stop at the 11th-century Özgön Minaret and Mausoleums.
Driving distance/time: 185 km / ~4 hours

Accommodation: Homestay B&B
Meals: Lunch and dinner at the homestay

Day 3: Arslanbob Hiking Day

One-day hike through the wild walnut forests of Arslanbob to the waterfalls.

  • Optional: Horse rental available on site
  • Hike distance: Up to 18 km to the big waterfall

Day 4: Arslanbob – Toktogul Reservoir – Yurt Camp

Drive to Toktogul via scenic mountain roads.

  • Enjoy views of the Naryn River and Toktogul Reservoir
  • Optional stop for fried fish at a local café en route (if available)
    Driving distance/time: ~310 km / 6 hours
    Accommodation: Yurt camp near Toktogul

Day 5: Yurt camp- horse riding- yurt camp

  • Horse riding to see panoramic view Kara-Suu lake
  • total distance of riding-15 km (3-3,5 h. one way)
  • altitude of Kara-Suu- 2800 m.

Meals: Lunch and dinner.

Day 6: Toktogul – Chychkan gorge - Suusamyr Valley

Drive to the alpine Suusamyr Valley.

  • Scenic views and pastoral landscapes
  • Optional activities: Horseback riding or light hiking

Driving time: ~4–5 hours
Accommodation: Yurt stay in Suusamyr Valley

Day 7: Karakeche pass (Altitude: 3,384 meters)- Song Kul(Altitude: 3,016 meters)

  • horse riding for 1 hour at Song-Kul lake

Meals: Lunch and dinner.

Day 8: Song Kul (Altitude: 3,016 meters)-Kochkor- Boom gorge-Bishkek

  • After breakfast we will return to Bishkek. The duration is 5-5,5 hours. 

  • Transfer to your hotel.
