In a significant policy update effective January 2025, citizens of all six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states now enjoy visa-free access to Kyrgyzstan for up to 60 days. This applies to passport holders of:

This was a major change and a direct result of the growing travel connection between Kyrgyzstan and the Gulf region. GCC citizens now arrive at Manas International Airport on the same basis as EU or US passport holders — no visa, no prior application needed.
UAE Residents: Your Options Explained
Living in the UAE with a residence visa? Your entry rights depend on your passport nationality — not your UAE residence permit. Here is a breakdown:
UAE passport holders: Fully visa-free, up to 60 days. No action required.
Saudi, Qatari, Kuwaiti, Omani, Bahraini passport holders living in UAE: Also fully visa-free now, up to 60 days.
All other nationalities residing in the UAE (Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, Egyptian, etc.): Your UAE residence card gives you a simplified route to a Kyrgyzstan tourist visa — even if your home country is not on the visa-free list.
| RULE FOR UAE/GCC RESIDENTS WITH FOREIGN PASSPORTSIf you hold a valid UAE residence card (or a valid residence card from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, or Bahrain), you are eligible to apply for a Kyrgyz tourist visa for up to 30 days WITHOUT needing an invitation letter from Kyrgyzstan. How UAE Residents Apply for a Kyrgyz Visa
Option 1 — E-Visa (Recommended): Apply online at evisa.e-gov.kg. Fill in the application form, upload your passport and UAE residence card scan, pay the fee online (~$20–30 USD). Approval typically takes 3–5 business days. Print or save the e-visa to your phone.
Option 2 — Visa on Arrival: Available at Manas International Airport (Bishkek) for eligible nationalities.

Visa on Arrival: What to Know
Kyrgyzstan does offer visa on arrival at Manas International Airport in Bishkek for certain nationalities. However, the following points are important:
- Visa on arrival is available for eligible nationalities whose countries are not on the visa-free list but are allowed to apply on arrival — primarily those with valid GCC residence cards
- It is NOT available at all land borders — Manas Airport only
- Processing time at the border can be 30–60 minutes, especially during busy periods
- You need to have all your documents ready: valid passport, residence card (if applicable), accommodation details, return ticket, and enough cash (USD is accepted at the counter)
- Approval is at the discretion of the immigration officer — it is NOT 100% guaranteed
- Cost: approximately $35–50 USD paid at the airport counter (exact fee varies by nationality — confirm with the Kyrgyz consulate before travel)

Registration & Stay Rules
Stays under 5 days: No registration required. Your hotel keeps a record.
Stays over 5 days: All foreign nationals must be registered with the State Registration Service (MFC). Hotels do this automatically — you must check in to a registered hotel and keep your hotel receipt/migration card.
Extensions: Extensions are possible at the MFC office in Bishkek. You must apply before your current visa or visa-free period expires.
Overstaying: Overstaying your visa or visa-free period results in a fine and potential travel ban. Keep track of your entry date.
